Alright heres the deal.... Im a college student, and right now I cant fit bartending schools around here into my schedule at the time. I would like to start bartending come january again. When I bartended before it was for a VFW, so needless to say I just poured beer. I wanted to know, if anyone has ever tried to learn how to bartend through the online bartending schools. To me this seems like it wont work at all, im mean how do u learn how to pour drinks through a computer???? Well hopefully someone here has some experience with online bartending schools and let me know their experiences with it. I dont need tips on gettin a job or learning elsewhere, just tell me what you know of online bartending schools. Thanks!
Online Bartending schools?
i went to bartending school its a waste of money!! it doesnt help you get a job any easier and it does teach you somethings but nothing you wont learn really quick working in a bar i personally would not pay a second time for this.
Reply:The whole point of the "schooling" is learning the recipes. If you know your drinks, it doesn't matter where you learned. You can always practice at home, in fact your friends will probably be more than happy to be your "customers" if you ask. I think 50% of bartending is knowing your drinks 45% is customer interaction and 5% is style. In my opinion, online school would be a good option.
