I'm from London but currently in the US (California), Whilst in the UK i was doing clerical work (receptionist, administration, P.A work) i want to futher my education preferbly online in Business or management but i don't have a great schooling history. I would like to know where i can get started and what online courses are out there that will offer me a placement ASAP at a reasonable price, and start from scratch. I would like to start off fresh with my studies, (do most online courses ask about one's scholling history?)

Thanks

there are many accredited online universities offering various kinds and levels of online courses and degrees which can help you advance your career.your schooling history may not be taken as a criterion by some ...however for more information you can check

best of luck :)
Reply:Well, in the U.S. you have to have your basic education courses if you wish to go to college for a degree.

On the other hand you can take business/mgmnt courses on line, but some places of work will not accept degrees from all of these places. You must be sure they are fully acredited. If they do not say they are in there material then they are not.

I'm not sure which on line courses are the best, but you might put in your browser something like: fully accredited business course and see what comes up. You are very wise to do this and I wish you the best of luck.
Reply:I'll add to the online course options...many will not have a "reasonable price." It depends on the course and the school.

If you are looking for reasonable prices, and have the ability to study independently, look into

This book by Brad Voeller shows how he got a 4-year fully accredited degree in 6 months for about $5000 using a mixture of placement tests, CLEP tests and life experiences combined with bookwork to create college credits. Obviously, one doesn't have to race through it like that. Taking CLEP courses is a great way to earn college credit and restore some credibility while saving a lot of money. If there is a particular school you want to go to, you will find that most have a cap on how many hours you are allowed to transfer in and use toward a degree. Brad Voeller used an accredited college that allowed him virtual unlimited transfers of credit, so he did a lot of CLEP and transferred credit in from colleges of his own choice. I've met him, he's for real. If you read the book, you'll see that he basically took 3.5 weeks (full time) to read two textbooks and to study 1-2 CLEP preparation books before he took the CLEP test for college credit. You can adjust the hours of study according to what you have available and take as long or as short as you like. He also discusses the DANTES tests offered by the US military, which are even less expensive than the CLEP tests.

I'm not sure what you meant by "reasonable," but using these techniques can significantly lower the cost of your education.

Hope this helps!
