I had what many people call a very dark childhood; I know who was there for me and what they mean to me. I met some people online when I was 10 and talked to them for most of my life (9 years). They've pretty much watched me grow up. I had a few very horrible offline relationships. I stayed friends with all the people I talked to online for nine years.
I fell in love with one of them. He returns my feelings. But he disappears for months at a time. I tell myself I will wait for him. I will wait to see him face to face when I have liberty with my own money. But he's gone again, and I'm left turning down real life relationship opportunities because I know that they are not who I want to be with. I want to message him and beg him to come online to save me from my loneliness, but I don't want to scare him. I know why he has to disappear. I know that the only thing I can do is wait. I just don't know what to do with this heartache. I could take up one of those opportunities, but... I duno
