I know on Xbox360 you can buy those microsoft points to go online and buy games, like uno or whatever, can you do the same thing on PS3? Do you have to buy cards to play online games? Can someone tell me how the PS3 works online...

It pretty much works just like the 360. You can buy points card or use a credit card. The also have a game download service just like Xbox Live Arcade called Play Station Network.
