Online college classes?

I am thinking about taking an online course, has anyone ever taken one online and been successful? or is it just a way to get your money? I am also concerned that it may not be accredited. do you know one that is accredited, accredited by the southern colleges. because we all know if they are not, we will not find a job after all is done. my friend took one online for nursing and no one will hire her because of that. I am kind of afraid to inquire. just want your opinion. If you know a good one. thank you for your time

Online college classes?
If you are enrolled in a college/university, the online class you take will be accredited (as long as the school is accredited) because they are considered part of the regular course curriculum.





I have taken several online classes, and to be honest- it depends on the subject and how self-disciplined you are. I've taken creative writing and comp classes online, and found them to be good. I wouldn't suggest taking a math or science class online, due to the amount of explication that is required to understand the subject matter. If you like a particular subject, and feel that it's relatively easy for you (meaning you don't need a lot of classroom instruction) then by all means, you should try it. Most of the professors are readily available by way of e-mail or scheduled office visits if you need more help.





I wouldn't suggest getting an entire degree online, because most of those aren't accredited and some jobs feel that's not a real "education." If you can incorporate online classes into a schedule where you take a few regular classes, it may be more beneficial. If you are taking online classes for now, until you can attend regular classes then it might be the way to go.
