Online Nursing Schools?

I am not currently a nurse, I am a stay at home mom with 4 children. I attended college after highschool and my major was in nursing. I would like to get a nursing degree and do it online, but I am confused when i look at the online schools programs. Are there any online schools for people who arent nurses and would like to be?

Online Nursing Schools?
You could do anything you put your mind too. If there is on-line nursing schools go for it!!. But I don't think there are because there is so much on hands work to becoming a nurse . Take time out to go to school, There are weekend classes. !!
Reply:I doubt there are any online nursing schools. Nursing programs even LVN programs require clinical hours where you are put into the medical setting. You can't learn how to lift and transfer a 200lb man or woman from reading books. You can only read about it and it sounds easy, but once you're at the bedside of a client, it's a totally different world.

Maybe you could work out a baby sitting schedule or leave the kids off with their classmates or friends house while you are at school? pick them up and then you would need a lot of time to devote to studying.

I had a few classmates that had to waite for thier children to become a little older so the mother responsibilities weren't as much demanding as opposed to when children are at a younger age.

Nursing is a good field to get into, but the program demands a lot of hours studying more than classtime. Class time was only a few hours every day, but the studying is mornings, daytime, nights, weekends. Good luck with that. I hope you work something out.
Reply:none that are worth being a part of anyway. I wouldn't hire a nurse who got her degree online!!!! Besides, you will have to do clinical...can't do that online.

If u want to be a nurse, then u will have to physically go to school. I have never even heard of "part time" nursing school...
