I REALLY don't want to go to real college because well..I have my reasons..but I was wandering even though I know it is called "online college" if it was strictly online...do you ever have to go to class or meet up with anybody or can you really do it all from home and if so do they send you your degree in the mail or what?? And another question..do you think good paying jobs would have a less chance of hiring you if you took online college rather than going to a real one? thanks in advance to anyone who can help..
Online College???
It depends on which online college you go to. The University of Phoenix, all of the classes are totally online and you don't have to meet anyone in person. There is no need to travel to a "brick-and-mortal" college for any reason. Community colleges have on-line classes but a few exams are proctored which means you have to come to a college location to take the exam. Lab sciences are not available on-line at most community colleges.
The university of Phoenix on-line classes are entirely on-line from buying books, registrations, lessons, tests, and receiving degree. Usually the degree is sent through the mail. Most on-line colleges such as the one above, Strayer University and others, the classes are all on-line. I looked at the University of Phoenix website and it explains all the degree classes are entirely on-line. No traditional classrooms.
On-line degrees from my research are just as good as an on-campus degrees is the on-line school is accredited. Employers treat on-line degrees from accredited school just as well as on a traditional colleges/ universities.
